Jupiter Ascending (Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski) - 2015

The Directors Wachowski have combined plot lines from Cinderella, Soylent Green and Indiana Jones - with a dash of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - to make an action-packed space adventure that is an amazing ride in IMAX 3-D.  Apparently, Mila Kunis is the reincarnation of an alien queen who owns Earth; and Channing Tatum is the speed-skater/escape-artist/wolfman who rescues her from freefall again and again and again.  If you can buy those characters, everything else makes sense.  Although the storyline is thin, the movie employed hundreds of model-makers, computer-geniuses and film-editors to produce a flawless representation of an imagined universe.  The movie should not be missed by fans of sy-fy and motion picture technology.  [JAM 2/8/2015]
