Mad #52 (Albert Feldstein) - Ed Reimers Issue - January 1960

The letter from Ed Reimers was the first "celebrity" letter printed in Mad since issue number 26 (Jackie Gleason).  Unlike other humor magazines, Mad has always published real letters from readers.  Many of the letters are directly followed by irreverant editorial comments.  In addition to Mr. Reimers' letters, the Letters Dept. featured portraits of Ed by Drucker and Woodbridge.

"AEN for President" appeared six times in issue number 52.  Thus the staff began the third-party campaign in election year 1960. [MADlog #13]
